Care

Our textile framed artworks are made out of natural materials. They are hand-woven and embroidered with a range of different techniques.

We recommend hanging your artwork away from busy and possibly messy areas. Keep your artwork out of direct sunlight and do not lean anything against the surface of the canvas. Avoid excessive dryness, humidity, heat, cold or areas with an intense change in atmosphere. All of these conditions can affect the state of your artwork in a negative way. They may start to grow mould if there is an excessive amount of humidity in the air..

We advise dry cleaning only. Dust your artwork with a clean and soft cotton rag to prevent dust buildup, but do not use cleaning products or water. If you plan to transport your artwork, wrap it well and cover the front and reverse with heavy cardboard. Do not cover your framed work with plastic for long periods of time.

Our tile framed artworks are made using a zellige (polished stone) and mosaic technique, or they are hand-painted by Laurence.

We recommend hanging your artwork away from busy and possibly messy areas. Do not lean anything against the surface of the artwork as it may damage it. It is best to keep it out of direct sunlight and to dust regularly.

If you need to clean the artwork, we recommend using a soft dry cloth or brush. If needed, you can use a damp cloth and clean lightly for marks that are harder to remove.

Our plaster framed artworks are hand-drawn by Laurence and carved. To finish, they are framed in mahogany wood.

Avoid excessive dryness, humidity, heat, cold or areas with an intense change in atmosphere. All of these conditions can affect the state of your artwork in a negative way. An excessive amount of humidity in the air may damage the plaster.

As the plaster is porous it is very important to dry clean only. Dust your artwork with a clean and soft cotton rag to prevent dust buildup, but do not use cleaning products or water.

Our rugs are made with 100% wool. Our traditional Beni Ouarain and Kilim rugs are hand-knotted using 100% Moroccan sheep wool. Our machine-tufted rugs are made using 100% New Zealand wool.

It is normal for your rug to shed fluff and this can be removed by brushing it softly or using a suction vacuum. We recommend airing your rug outside regularly and when doing so you can shake it in order to get rid of dust or dirt.

In case of spills, clean them up immediately using water and a soft brush. To clean it thoroughly, we advise you to dry clean or use a specialised carpet cleaner.

Our blankets and throws are made out of natural materials, such as cotton, linen and wool. They are hand woven and embroidered, but are resistant enough to be used as a bed cover or wall hanging.

If required, you can use water and a sponge to remove any stains, making sure to remove any stains as soon as they happen. The colours are hand dyed but they will not run or bleed when you are cleaning.

To clean it thoroughly, we advise you to dry clean or use a specialised carpet cleaner, but make sure to be gentle around the hand-embroidered areas.

To protect your pillowcase or pouffe, we recommend dry clean only. You can iron the fabric on the wrong side to protect the pattern and embroidery.

Our table linen is made out of 100% linen, 100% cotton or a combination of the two.

Depending on the design, our tablecloths feature polyester machine embroidery, are block-printed in India, or are painted by hand with a high-quality ink compliant with European standards (GOTS, OEKO TEX).

It is safe to wash all of our table linen in the washing machine, but on a delicate setting. The colour will not run or bleed. We also advise to iron it on the reverse to protect the design.

Our clothing is made out of natural materials, such as cotton, linen, or viscose.

Some of our clothing is hand embroidered with wool or features a custom jacquard fabric (made in Italy), this will be detailed in the description of the product. If this is the case, we recommend dry clean only.

Our sandals are made out of high-quality fabrics and cow leather to ensure a high level of flexibility, softness and resistance.

Before wearing, we advise that you use a leather protector spray. Avoid direct contact with water or wet materials, such as rain or mud and keep the surface of your sandals clean with a soft, dry cloth. You can use a leather conditioner to clean deeper stains.

Our terracotta clay-based ceramics are finished with a clay-based glaze and hand-painted, making each piece unique. As a result, each piece will have a slightly different design and may have small marks or stones in the glazing.

Our ceramic vases are decorative objects. They can be used with dried flowers or fresh ones. If you use them with water, we advise you to change it regularly in order to protect your surface from any humidity.

Our terracotta tableware ceramics are finished with a clay-based glaze and hand-painted, making each piece unique. As a result, each piece will have a slightly different design and may have small marks or stones in the glazing.

Our ceramic tableware items (plates, bowls, cups, mugs, and jugs) are food-safe, with the glazes used being free of lead and cadmium. We consider our hand-painted ceramics to be art pieces, which is why we advise using them as table decor and handling them delicately with care.

Before your first use, we recommend that you wash your pieces by hand in hot soapy water, rinse and let air dry. Our tableware ceramics are safe to use in the fridge but are not oven, microwave or dishwasher safe. Even though the glazing will protect the ceramic surface, we advise you to avoid using oil or fat to prevent damage.

Our mirrors are made using a machine-tufting technique and framed with mahogany wood.

It is best to keep your mirror indoors, preferably out of direct sunlight and to dust it regularly. It is normal for your tufting to shed fluff and this can be removed by brushing it softly or using a suction vacuum.

In case of stains, clean them up immediately using water and a soft brush. In the case of a professional clean, we advise dry clean only.

All of our wrought iron objects are made by hand.

Our wrought iron objects are painted with an epoxy powder paint that protects your piece from any oxidation or rust. We also add an extra layer over the paint to protect against the elements.

Our chairs and tables are suitable for outdoor use, but we recommend that you remove accessories, such as the leather or fabric seat when it is raining.
