Our terracotta clay-based glazed ceramics tableware are all handmade and hand-painted, making each piece unique and its design slightly different. This is why you may notice some marks, crazing, sweating, grit or small stones in the glazing, which is natural and will decrease over time and use.
Our ceramic tableware items (plates, bowls, cups, mugs, jugs) are food safe, and all glazes are lead and cadmium free. All our pieces are hand-painted and we consider them as art pieces, so we advise to use them as table decor, and use delicately with care and love.
Before your first use, we advise that you wash your pieces by hand in hot soapy water, rinse them and allow them to air dry. They are safe to use in the fridge, but we don’t recommend putting them in the oven, the microwave or the dishwasher. Even though the glazing protects the surface of the ceramic piece, avoid using oil or fat in order to not damage the surface.
Our Framed works are made out of 100% wool or a mix of wool and cotton. They are handwoven and embroidered with range of different techniques.
We want you to enjoy your framed work for as long as possible. Hang your artwork away from very busy and possibly messy areas. Keep your artwork out of direct sunlight and do not lean anything against the surface of a canvas. Try to avoid subjecting your artwork to extreme changes in atmosphere. Avoid excessive dryness, humidity, heat or cold. All of these conditions can affect the state of your artwork in a negative way.
As it is handwoven and embroidered, we recommend dry cleaning. Dust your artworks with a clean, soft rag occasionally to prevent dust buildup. Do not use cleaning products or water. If you plan to transport your artwork, wrap your artwork well and be sure to put a heavy piece of cardboard over the front and back to protect it. Do not cover your framed work with plastic for long periods of time. If there is humidity in the air, they may start to grow mold. Cotton sheets are best for keeping dust away!
